چکیده
Phytoremediation of heavy metals (HMs) is an efficient methodology to remove toxic from the soil. On other hand, arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are utilized as biological fertilizers they improve root expansion, nutrient uptake, shoot growth, and plant performance. In this study, effect AMF inoculation on morphological traits, macro- micronutrient contents, essential oil content (EOC), yield (EOY) lavender (Lavandula angustifolia L.) was investigated, under HM (Pb Ni) stress in greenhouse conditions. The performed treatments were follows: (Funneliformis mosseae) (5 g kg?1 soil), stress, including Pb (150 225 mg soil Pb(NO3)2) Ni (220 330 Ni(NO3)2). controls absence treatments. results showed that contamination with decreased height, branch number, fresh dry weights shoots roots, P, K, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn contents. At same time, modulated adverse effects lower concentrations increased EOC EOY plants, whereas higher levels HMs reduced morphobiometric traits. contents roots. treatment at 220 led a than treatment. conclusion, recommend helpful procedure growth responses environments polluted tested suggest potentially mitigating effects.

Antibacterial activity of essential oil from lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) against pet turtle-borne pathogenic bacteria
Pet turtles are well-known to harbor an array of bacterial pathogens which can cause zoonotic infections in humans as well as opportunistic infections in the turtles itself. Essential oils are the natural plant extracts which have been traditionally used for disease treatment. In the present study, the essential oil of lavender (EOL) was examined for its antibacterial activity against thirty-ei...
متن کاملExploring Pharmacological Mechanisms of Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) Essential Oil on Central Nervous System Targets
Lavender essential oil is traditionally used and approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as herbal medicine to relieve stress and anxiety. Some animal and clinical studies reveal positive results in models of anxiety and depression although very little research has been done on molecular mechanisms. Our work consisted of evaluating the effects of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) essent...
متن کاملArbuscular mycorrhiza and petroleum-degrading microorganisms enhance phytoremediation of petroleum-contaminated soil.
While plants can phytoremediate soils that are contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, adding microbes to remediate contaminated sites with petroleum-degrading microorganisms and arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) is not well understood. The phytoremediation of Arabian medium crude oil (ACO) was done with a Lolium multiflorum system inoculated with an AMF (Glomus intraradices) and a mixture o...
متن کاملThe arbuscular mycorrhizal status of poplar clones selected for phytoremediation of soils contaminated with heavy metals.
The aim of this work was to study the colonization of indigenous arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) species in fine-roots of poplar clones. Roots of 7 poplar clones were sampled from a 1-year-old trial established at an industrial site strongly polluted with heavy metals at Balatonfuzfo, Hungary. The poplar clones have shown variable degrees of colonization by AMF, suggesting differential host ...
متن کاملHeavy Metals Contaminated Environments and the Road Map with Phytoremediation
This review presents the justification of research into heavy metals and clean-up technologies with particular emphasis on phytoremediation of heavy metals contaminated soils. The generating sectors and heavy metal contaminant contributors are reviewed alongside likely types. The new paradigm by researchers in response to negative impacts of various clean-up methodologies has been discussed. Th...
